Having very different style with the other contemporary Nordic designers, Verner Panton was outstanding. His career was very productive and he is worldwide known from the Panton chair. As young architect he started working for Arne Jacobsen and designed even for Ikea in the 90's.
The lamps are maybe his best, most simple and beautiful work. Panton always considered the color even more important than the form because of it's capability to create emotions itself. The Flowerpot and Topan lamps are the best examples — pure forms in a vibrant color palette and excellent spread of the light.
