In autumn 1949, Nisse and Kajsa's String bookcase won first place in the Bonniers bookcase competition. Made with blue wall panels and pine shelves, their design beat 194 entries from all over Europe, the USA and even as far away as Australia. For the 75th anniversary of the String bookcase, they have produced a limited run of 1949 bookcases with the original blue wall panels and solid pine shelves. Just like the winning 1949 design.String pocket wall shelf consists of three shelves in MDF, veneered or lacquered, and two side panels in powder coated steel. The shelves can easily be moved.
